An Ophthalmologist For the Whole Family
"My family were all patients of Dr. Macy and highly recommended him. Not only did Dr. Macy take accurate and precise measurements effortlessly but he also assured me that the post surgical results would be fine. The surgery was smooth, painless, and quick with excellent results. I am very greatful to Dr. Macy and hope he continues to work for many years to come as he is my, and my family's, physician of choice."

Featured Procedures At Macy Eye Center
Our ophthalmologists each specialize in various surgical procedures that help patients improve the health of their eyes and their overall vision. Featured surgical procedures we offer to our Los Angeles patients include:
Cataract Surgery
Dr. Macy and Dr. Alexander Knezevic perform expert cataract care at our practice. Both doctors are affiliated with the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and are highly trained and experienced in performing life-changing cataract surgery to help patients preserve their vision and eye health. Our ophthalmologists have also participated in research to elevate the cataracts surgical process. Dr. Macy was a pioneer in small incision cataracts surgery that's free of sutures. For safe and effective cataracts procedures, Macy Eye Centers is the place to go.
LASIK
LASIK laser eye surgery can help patients with myopia (near-sightedness), astigmatism (surface irregularity), or hyperopia (far-sightedness) see clearly without the hinderance of glasses or contact lenses. Dr. Macy is a leader in the laser surgery field, having published, lectured, and taught his research and findings from the field. Dr. Knezevic also performs LASIK eye surgery and has been praised by patients for his excellent bedside manner.
Corneal Transplantation
Our team is comprised of two ophthalmologists who are highly trained in the process of corneal transplantation. Dr. Macy has been a principal investigator in more than 60 separate studies, many of which focus on the treatment of corneal transplants. Dr. Knezevic trained through a fellowship in Cornea, Anterior Segment, and Refractive Surgery, which gave him experience and knowledge in all aspects of corneal care, including corneal transplantation.
Glaucoma Surgery
While eye damage from glaucoma cannot be reversed and the disease cannot be permanently treated, eye doctors can slow the progression of this disease. At our Los Angeles practice, we offer minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) to help slow the progression of glaucoma in patients. This surgery involves using microscopic devices that the doctor utilizes through a tiny incision in the eye to reduce intraocular pressure. MIGS can benefit glaucoma patients by easing their dependence on eye drops.
Eat Your Way To Healthier Eyes Nutritional Advice Offered
The amount and type of protein, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, and minerals you consume can have an effect on your eyes. Our ophthalmologists can give you advice on vitamins, minerals, and foods that can help you maintain good eye health. While surgery and other procedures are often needed to cure the eye of macular degeneration and other eye conditions, what you eat may have a greater effect on your eye health than you realize.
